FriendCaller was developed by C2Call GmbH using C2Call's cutting-edge browser-based VoIP technology. C2Call (Click-to-Call) developed a Java-based, cloud-hosted VoIP application that instantly turns any web browser into a phone, with Video Call functionality. Using Java Virtual Machine (JVM), calls are made directly from any browser without the installation of proprietary software such as Adobe Flash, or other plug-ins.
C2Call's VoIP phone can be initiated instantly from a Website, Instant Message (IM), e-mail or a CallMe-link. In addition to its unique capabilities, this application is compatible with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), which is based on the same VoIP standard as supported by Cisco, Avaya, Nokia, Vonage, and many other VoIP market leaders. C2Call's core technology works with Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Android OS, and will also soon be available for Google Chrome OS.
C2Call provides peer-to-peer VoIP Voice and Video calls and termination for all global phone networks. It supports browser based, echo-free Voice and Video Calls. Video Calling is available on BrowserPhone, all iOS devices and just recently has been introduced successfully for Android.
It's the only VoIP service which lets you have your own phone number through which you can connect anyone, anywhere, anytime. Though, charges for landlines and mobile networks are quite economical. It supports text messaging (SMS) to over 400 global cellular networks.
